Walt Disney World is not only the most visited amusement park in the world, it is also the largest single-site employer in the world. As of 2021, a staggering 75,000 employees work for Disney in Central Florida, more people than work anywhere else on the face of the earth.
When the park opened in 1971, that number was just 8,000.
